Currently Reading Overview
The Currently Reading section is where we share the books that are currently shaping our thinking. It gives visitors a glimpse into the ideas and influences behind our work, without needing full-length reviews.
📚 What is it for?
Section titled “📚 What is it for?”Use this section to highlight:
- Books you’re reading as a team or individual
- Titles you recommend or have found particularly impactful
- Sources of inspiration for Think Wellbeing’s work
Each entry includes a short summary, a cover image, and the book’s author. It’s designed to be quick to add and easy to keep up to date.
🛠️ How it works in WordPress
Section titled “🛠️ How it works in WordPress”Currently Reading is a custom post type in WordPress. In the admin area, you’ll see:
- All Books – to view, edit, or delete existing entries
- Add New Book – to create a new entry
Each book entry includes:
- Title – the book’s name
- Author – who wrote it
- Summary – a few lines on why it matters
- Featured Image – ideally the book cover
🚩 Reading Flags (Featured)
Section titled “🚩 Reading Flags (Featured)”There’s a special taxonomy called Reading Flags, which currently has just one option: Featured.
This is important:
- Only one book should be marked as Featured at a time
- The most recent Featured book will appear on the website
- If no book is marked as Featured, the Currently Reading section won’t display
This gives you control over what’s visible on the front end, without needing to unpublish older entries.
🖼️ Image Guidelines
Section titled “🖼️ Image Guidelines”- Use high-quality cover images
- Portrait orientation looks best
- Avoid large file sizes to keep performance strong
✨ Why it matters
Section titled “✨ Why it matters”This section adds a human, thoughtful touch to the site. It shows we’re curious, reflective, and always learning — a core part of Think Wellbeing’s ethos.
