Adding a Quote
To add a quote to the homepage rotation, follow these steps.
1. Duplicate the template
Section titled “1. Duplicate the template”Click on “Featured Quotes” in the Wordpress admin sidebar to view all the quotes. Find the one named “Quote Template” and hover the mouse over it. Click New Draft.
This template contains an example quote with citation and is already structured correctly for the frontend.
📝 Important: The template itself does not render on the website — it’s only there for duplication purposes.
2. Rename the post
Section titled “2. Rename the post”Update the title of your new post to something that helps you recognise it later (e.g. Brené Brown on Courage). This title is only visible in the admin and won’t appear on the site.
3. Add the quote and citation
Section titled “3. Add the quote and citation”Replace the default quote text with your chosen quote, and update the citation field with the speaker or source.
4. Save or schedule
Section titled “4. Save or schedule”You can publish immediately or schedule the quote to appear at a future date.
You can add as many quotes as you like. One will be shown at random on the homepage, helping the site feel fresh and engaging.
If no quotes are currently published, the section won’t appear on the homepage at all.
