Fixing a Broken Quote

If something doesn’t look right — for example, the layout is broken, the quote isn’t displaying, or you’ve accidentally deleted the quote formatting — don’t worry.

Featured Quotes have a slightly awkward setup behind the scenes, so it’s usually easier to delete the broken version and start fresh rather than try to repair it.

Recommended approach

1. Go back to the Featured Quotes section in the admin.
2. Trash the quote that isn’t working properly.
3. Go to the template post and use the Duplicate option to create a new one.
4. Edit the content with your quote and citation as usual.
5. Save or schedule the post.

This ensures the formatting and structure stay consistent so your homepage display works exactly as expected.
